Tracy Higley is a fantastic author. I have had the privilege of reading many of her books, including the Shadow of Colossus before it became Isle of Shadows.
Isle of Shadows is in every way an improvement upon the Shadow of Colossus. If you enjoy the ancient world, this is the book for you. Biblical Fiction is one of my favorite genre’s and while this book is not necessarily based off of a Bible character, it does take historical fiction and does a splendid job of shaping it into a great story.
In this book, Tessa, our heroine starts out in rough water. Serving as a prostitute to a wealthy man named Glaucus, her entire life is thrown asunder when he is murdered. Tessa is desperately trying to escape, will she get away in time? Turning to the Greek god helios, Tessa hopes to find salvation, but instead she finds it and much more when Simeon introduces her to a God who not only wants her devotion, but is devoted to her as well.
I really enjoyed this book and happily give it 5/5 stars for a fantastic book.
I received this book for free in exchange for my honest review.
