Miss Frazer’s Adventure, originally released by the same author under the name Debbie Raleigh, but now being re-released under her pseudonym Alexandra Ivy, is an enjoyable regency era tale with a woman that decided living the sheltered life was no longer for her. When she is stood up at the alter by Lord Lucius Calfield, Kate Frazer decides enough is enough and heads off to London. She is determined that she will never allow herself to settle again and seeks the freedom to pursue her dreams.
In London, everything for Kate is magical, that is until Luce catches up with her. Determined to win back his fiancé, Luce is startled to find that the agreeable Kate he once courted is now a fiery and determined woman. Of course, he is also further startled to find that he is even more attracted to her now than he ever was before. Kate does not make it easy for Luce, in fact, she does everything she can to dissuade him even as she finds herself falling a little more in love with him every day.
If you enjoy regency romances, you should like this book. It is fairly clean without much of the graphic romance that can come with other regency books. I would say my only annoyance was just how doggedly stubborn Kate is, even to the point of insanity. Either way, I am giving this book 4/5 stars.
I received this book for free from the publisher through NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.
