TLDR: Rebellion is in the air. Will Mila be able to ascend the throne of Bohemia, or will the uprising keep her from pursuing her destiny and bringing peace between Catholic and Protestant forces.
A Forest of Wolves, by Chelsea Luna is a continuation of the Uprising Book series. This book continues the story of Mila, who forsakes her family for the chance to be part of something she believes in. Of even greater importance to this revolution of Catholic versus Protestant is Mila’s secret that will change the world around her as she knows it. She is the heir of the throne of Bohemia and is unable to share that secret with anyone. Will she be able to secure her legacy, or will it all come crashing down?
Other storylines in this book circle around Marc, leader of the peasant rebellion and Mila’s love interest. Honestly in terms of being ‘the one’ for Mila, I think Marc is not the greatest. He is selfish and rarely sees Mila for all that she can be. In fact, it is Marc’s brother who truly loves and attempts to provide for her. With the revolution distrusting her and her former husband (even though she never agreed to the marriage) trying desperately to recover her, will Mila ever belong?
For a good story, even if some of the outcomes seem a little rushed, I am giving this book 4/5 stars. I look forward to reading the next book in this series.
